The good news is, you can experience this entire Free-To-Play crazy fest without it. This whole game was built-in mind to be a Saturday morning war cartoon…in VR.
Luckily, this actually doesn’t play out like your standard multiplayer shooter, but a throwback to the late 90s-early 2000s of this genre, with a Goldeneye health system, vibrant gunplay, no iron sights (or ammunition for that matter) and mystical power-ups galore. I am one who enjoys the shooter genre very much, but for a style like this, I don’t think going the standard route would be an excellent fit. My biggest fear is that this setting would be nothing more than a skin and the gameplay itself would just be basic modern FPS combat. It’s basically a team-based first-person shooter set in a loony toons inspired World War II. World War Toons was probably not an extremely popular notice when revealed at PSX 2015, but I was interested.
